Watch Blink-182 Reunite With Matt Skiba for a Special Charity Show for L.A. Wildfires

With crews working around the clock, the wildfires that ripped through Los Angeles were fully contained by the end of January. As residents returned home, many found their entire lives in ashes. Looking over the damage, the fires burned over 57,000 acres and caused over 200,000 people to evacuate. Hoping to rebuild, some experts claimed the damages would cost billions to repair. Over the last few weeks, celebrities and bands have donated to organizations focused on supporting those impacted by the fires. And recently, Matt Skiba reunited with Blink-182 for a special performance benefiting the relief efforts.

Back in 2015, Skiba joined Blink-182 as a replacement for Tom Delonge. Skiba contributed to more than just live performances as he recorded “Bored To Death”, which released on the hit album California. While the first song featuring Skiba, the band kept it in rotation during their concerts, even when Delonge returned in 2022. But on February 13th, fans received a special treat when the band welcomed Skiba to the stage.

Presented by Live Nation, the charity event offered 100 percent of the proceeds to organizations like the LAFD Foundation, the Pasadena Humane Society, and the California Fire Department. As for the performance, fans loved watching the reunion as comments read, “Seeing Tom have this much fun with this is amazing in itself! Never thought we get to see the fully healed blink timeline!” One person continued, “Wow that’s just too f**king awesome to finally see Skiba perform with Mark, Tom, and Travis.”

Besides playing at the event, Blink-182’s Travis Barker spent time with individuals fighting the fires. With the band sharing footage of the drummer with the firefighters, he wrote on his stories, “These guys are heroes. They are risking their lives to serve people. Save people. Help people. And becoming men in the process.”

Outside of the benefit event, Los Angeles received support from stars like Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, No Doubt, Sting, and several others when they performed at the massive disaster relief concert dubbed FireAid.
