Boasting a whopping 59 ACM trophies between the two of them, Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert are modern-day pillars of country music. And what’s better than one country music giant? Two country music giants. The pair recently made fans’ dreams come true when they teamed up for their latest collaboration, “A Song To Sing.” During his stop in Inglewood, California, on Thursday (July 19), Stapleton brought his duet partner onstage for the song’s live debut.

Miranda Lambert Surprises Chris Stapleton Crowd
“We’re gonna try this thing on,” Chris Stapleton said as he welcomed Miranda Lambert onstage at SoFi Stadium.
“Brand-new,” remarked the “Kerosene” singer, 41. “It’s the first time to ever play this in public.”
“First time for everything,” chimed in Stapleton, 47. “Tonight’s the night. Are you ready, California?”
Judging by the crowd’s cheers, they were more than ready. On that stage, two of country music’s most brilliant voices joined forces for something pure magic: You are a part of me / Baby, you’re the heart of me / Together, we can write a song to sing.
Lambert and Stapleton penned “A Song to Sing” with songwriters Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor. Teasing the song last month on her Instagram Stories, Lambert wrote, “Chris understands this emotion from the inside out, because he and Morgane have both lived it.”

“To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life – and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level,” she continued. “When we finished it, we both knew we wanted to release it, to share it with everyone.”
Country Artists Contribute to Flood Victims
As Central Texas recovers from devastating July 4 floods that left 135 dead, Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert are pitching in.
Stapleton and wife Morgane donated $1 million through their charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind. Meanwhile, Lambert is teaming up with fellow Texan Parker McCollum to host Band Together Texas, a benefit concert in support of flood relief efforts.
“One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood,” Lambert said. “There is so much devastation and loss, yet what’s given me hope are the stories of those that have come to the aid of so many. That’s what we want to do with Band Together: Texans helping Texas.”
