In the early 2000s, country music welcomed two singers who would go on to leave their mark in the genre. For Miranda Lambert, she kicked off her career with hit songs like “Kerosene”. That was just the start as she was also the voice behind songs including โWranglersโ, โIf I Was a Cowboyโ, and โGunpowder & Lead.โ For Stapleton, he started his career as a songwriter before finding his way to the stage. And having more than a few hits, the country singer won 10 Grammy Awards. With both singers top names in country music, they recently joined forces for their new duet โA Song To Sing.โย
The idea of Stapleton and Lambert joining forces once again has been the dream of many country music fans since their collaboration on โWhat Am I Gonna Do.โ Back in November 2023, Stapleton released his fifth studio album with Higher. While the album featured over a dozen songs, fans couldnโt get enough of โWhat Am I Gonna Do.โ Writing the song together, the hit quickly became a favorite among fans, leading many to want more. But as the years passed, that idea became more of a dream. At least, until now.ย

The Reason Miranda Lambert Knew Chris Stapleton Was Perfect For New Song
Sharing a post on Instagram, both Stapleton and Lambert revealed they were, in fact, releasing a new duet with โA Song To Sing.โ Not giving away a single detail about what fans should expect, Lambert only shared the release date, July 11th. With fans only having to wait until Friday to hear the song, the next couple of days are sure to seem like forever. But again, with most already waiting years, they already considered the unreleased song the next big hit in country music.ย
With the post already gaining thousands of likes, fans shared their excitement, writing:
โSo Excitedโ
โAGHGH!!!! Two of the BEST in country music! I cannot waitโ
โYESSS this is going to be epic.โ
โPumped for Thisโ
As for Lambert, she did share why Stapleton was the best singer to share the song with. Knowing the love that Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, have, the country singer said, โChris understands this emotion from the inside out, because he and Morgane have both lived it. To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life โ and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level.โย
Again, keeping quiet about the details, Lambert concluded, โWhen we finished it, we both knew we wanted to release it, to share it with everyone.โ
