“I don’t mind stealing bread, from the mouths of decadence.” If you’re of a certain age, those words, from Temple of the Dog’s 1992 hit song “Hunger Strike,” evoke memories of happier, pre-internet days of long hair and flannel, when the worst thing a band could do was get famous.
Last night at Pearl Jam’s show in at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheatre, Chris Cornell took the stage with former Temple members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Matt Cameron, and Mike McCready to perform the grunge-era classic.
