Three Days Grace Reunites With Founding Singer After 12 Years, Current Lead Vocalist To Remain With Band

For Adam Gontier, his career in music led him to perform with bands like Saint Asonia, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, and several others. But for fans of the musician, they also remember his time with the rock band Three Days Grace. A founding member of the group, Gontier helped record albums like One-X and Life Starts Now. But he eventually left in 2013. Although not part of the Three Days Grace for over a decade, the band announced his triumphant return nearly 12 years later.

Earlier this week, fans of Three Days Grace received a teaser from the band when a voicemail revealed Gontier telling singer Matt Walst he would be heading to the studio soon. Sharing lead vocals with Walst, Gointer expressed his excitement to return. “I feel like it’s been seamless, better than we were expecting. It’s like we got back in a room together and picked up where we left off. We have been friends for so long, it’s kind of natural to get back in the room together.”

Welcoming Gontier with open arms, Three Days Grace posted a picture of the group on Instagram. The band wrote, “After performing together in Nashville around this time last year and spending time in the studio since, we’re excited to announce the official return of Adam Gontier to vocals in Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst remaining as a lead vocalist, as well.”

Fans Overjoyed To Have Adam Gontier Back With Three Days Grace

Gaining over 26,000 likes, fans loved the idea, writing, “This f***king wins the internet for the century.” Another excited fan added, “This makes me year… I never imagined this day would come. When Adam left it broke my heart as a kid. As an adult, this feels like it’s completed a part of my life. Thank you guys this means so much.”

Even with having to share duties, Walst shared how fun it was and the inspiration the founding member brought with him. “It’s been so much fun and inspiring making this record. Combining over 20 years of Three Days Grace and doing something that no band has ever done. I’m excited for the fans to hear it!”
