Coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Adam Levine are currently vying to see who will coach The Voice season 27 winner. Meanwhile, season 24 winner Michael Huntley (who goes by Huntley) is striking out on his own after parting ways with his label last year. Already releasing two brand-new songs, the Virginia blues-rocker is now teasing a collab with none other than Tyler Ward, founder of Song House and husband to American Idol star Emmy Russell.

Huntley Teams Up With Emmy Russell’s Husband
Sharing a series of pictures to Instagram on Wednesday (March 5), Huntley confirmed that new music is on the way. In the first picture, he is posing beside singer-songwriter Tyler Ward.
“I’m having incredible sessions with @tylerwardmusic and the @thesonghouseco crew in Nashville this week,” wrote the 34-year-old father of two. “We’re excited for everyone to hear what we’re cookin up.”
In 2021, Ward founded Nashville’s Song House, a pop music incubator that uses TikTok and other social media platforms to test market new songs and artists. The former YouTube star previously worked with Huntley on “Welcome to the Lonely,” a powerful tune about the latter’s post-Voice experiences.
Last year, the “Skyline Drive” singer announced he had walked away from his contract with Republic Records and signed with music executive Edward Crowe. Crowe also manages rappers Yelawolf and Pretty Shy.
“I just felt like it was right for me to release and produce the kind of music I wanted to if I stepped away from the label,” Huntley told Northern Virginia Magazine.
Tyler Ward Is Married to Loretta Lynn’s Granddaughter
For fans of both The Voice and its ABC counterpart, this is the crossover episode they never knew they needed.
Notably, Tyler Ward’s wife is both Huntley’s fellow reality TV finalist and country music royalty. The singer-songwriter revealed in a recent interview with People magazine that he married American Idol fan favorite Emmy Russell last year in a private ceremony.
The granddaughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn, Russell, 26, finished just shy of the Top 3 during Idol season 22. Since her time on the show, she has released several original songs including “Redemption” and “skinny.”
On Feb. 1, the couple announced the birth of their first child, daughter Taylor Raydiant Ward.
