Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe Head to Mexico for Rock The Tides Destination Festival

For most music festivals, the hope of seeing a person’s favorite band is more than enough to get fans to buy tickets. But over the last few years, bands have offered more than just a concert when it comes to music festivals. There have been festivals that overtook entire cruise ships. And when wanting to promote the Rock the Tides music festival, organizers not only scheduled Def Leppard but also Mötley Crüe. With both rock bands traveling to Riviera Maya, Mexico for the event, the festival promised more than just music as it looked to overtake an entire resort.

Joining other acts like the Struts, Extreme, Buckcherry, Dorothy, Moon Walker, Velvet Daydream, Living Colour, and Bret Michaels, Mötley Crüe was excited to head back to Mexico. In a press release, the band insisted, “Mexico has always been one of the most electric places we’ve played – the energy is just unreal. Some of our most unforgettable shows have happened there, and we know this one will be no different. We’re excited to head back, team up with Def Leppard, and throw one hell of a party for everyone making the trip. It’s going to be an epic night.”

More Than a Music Festival Featuring Def Leppard

Scheduled to kick off on November 7th, the festival will run until November 9th at the Barceló Riviera Maya. Looking at the packages offered for the festival, it included a stay at the resort, transportation to and from the airport, unlimited food and drink, and access to all the shows. With stages set up around the resort, fans will have more than enough options when it comes to their musical taste. And for those looking for a little more, the Rock the Tides festival also offered excursions. Although having to pay extra for the experience, it included sailing on a yacht, snorkeling, and even catamaran rides.

Great music, wonderful food, and catamaran rides are more than enough to have fans clamoring to get a ticket. For those looking to get away for a few days, tickets for the Rock the Tides festival are expected to go on sale on April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT.
