With the stage set and only hours to go before Gaga entertained fans, authorities announced the arrest of two suspects connected to a group that promoted hate against the LGBTQ+ community. Although a serious situation, many fans were shocked when Gaga continued forward with the concert. Just last year, a serious threat toward Taylor Swift caused her show in Vienna to be canceled. But when it came to Gaga’s concert, police insisted they wanted to avoid any sort of panic from fans.
Discussing the situation, a spokesperson for Gaga admitted that the pop star didn’t learn about the supposed attack till that morning. “Prior to and during the show, there were no known safety concerns, nor any communication from the police or authorities to Lady Gaga regarding any potential risks.” The person continued, “Her team worked closely with law enforcement throughout the planning and execution of the concert and all parties were confident in the safety measures in place.”
