And the Winner Is…

After Daly got some kind words from the coaches about their artists, he revealed RENZO as the third place finisher. With that, it came down to Johnston and David. The latter was announced as the winner, giving Bublé his second win in a row.

The Final 5 Take the Stage

With just minutes left in the live program, the five finalists took the stage. After the contestants expressed their gratitude to their coaches, Daly got to the long-awaited results. The fifth place artist was then revealed to be Cree. She was followed in fourth place by Flores-Wiseman. That left Johnston, David, and RENZO as the potential winners of The Voice season 27.

Michael Bublé Pitches John Legend

In a hilarious pre-recorded sketch, Bublé convinced Legend to team up on a product called Legendary Bubbles. As for what exactly the product would be, that was up for debate. A bubble bath that smelled like money didn’t work out, and neither did a human-sized hamster bubble or a creepy bubble girl. Eventually, they decided it wasn’t meant to be and threw in the towel.

In a hilarious pre-recorded package, former Voice frenemies Levine and Shelton reunited. Levine teased Shelton by calling Ballerini his “new best country friend,” and suggested Shelton had been busy “making moonshine” since he left the show. Levine didn’t stop there, telling Shelton that he bleached his hair solely because he knew it would “trigger” him, and encourage him to “scamper along.”

Alicia Keys, who previously served as a coach on The Voice, took the stage to perform two songs from Hell’s Kitchen, the semi-autobiographical Broadway show about her. Keys was joined by Amanda Reid, the new star of the show, during the performance. The women sang both “The River” and “Empire State of Mind” during the performance.

After a group movie date to see Karate Kid Legends, the Top 5 contestants decided to team up for a performance of Bastille’s “Pompeii.” They delivered an epic rendition of the 2013 track live during the finale. Mid-way through the performance, David, Flores-Wiseman, Cree, RENZO, and Johnston were joined by some of their former competitors as all the finalists sang and danced together.

The pro athlete wowed the coaches as she sang Anna Nalick’s “Breathe (2 AM).” In fact, they both agreed that they would’ve turned their chair for Shiffrin if she’d auditioned for the show.

Welcome to the Finale!

Carson Daly opened up the three-hour finale by welcoming viewers live alongside the finalists: Team Michael Bublé’s Jadyn Cree and Adam David, Team Kelsea Ballerini’s Jaelen Johnson, Team Adam Levine’s Lucia Flores-Wiseman, and Team John Legend’s RENZO. All the contestants agreed that they’re excited—not nervous—about the finale. With that, Daly announced that there’d be an hour-long recap of last night’s performances, before the live show gets underway at 9/8c.
