Recently, Ashley McBryde announced the opening of her new Broadway event venue, Redemption Bar. Redemption Bar will be located on the fifth floor of Eric Church‘s Broadway bar, Chiefs, and will serve non-alcoholic drinks and have a stage intended to be particularly for songwriters and original music. The opening of the bar is a testament to McBryde’s sobriety journey and her love of the craft of songwriting.

Concerning the opening of the venue, McBryde said in a statement, “Songwriters are the backbone of this community, and it’s important to me to create a place for all the tourists on lower Broadway to experience original music from some of the people who are keeping dreams alive in this town.”
“As someone who is three years sober, the typical response to ‘do you have anything Non-Alcoholic?’ is either ‘why did you come to a bar if you aren’t gonna drink?’ or ‘you can have soda water and a lime I guess.’ Some of my favorite places to socialize became wildly unaccommodating when the only thing that changed was what was in my cup. It was vital that I create a space where not drinking is the forethought – normalized. You can get alcohol drinks in Redemption too, because everyone is welcome,” added Ashley McBryde.
In addition to this announcement, McBryde also recently announced that she will be performing a four-night residency at Chief’s called, “The Redemption Residency”.
Ashley McBryde Will Take the Stage at Chief’s Come October
Ashley McBryde’s four-night stint will transpire at the Neon Steeple performance venue inside Chief’s on October 14 and 15, as well as on December 11 and 12. To announce “The Redemption Residency,” McBryde stated, “The guys and I are so happy to be back in Nashville for four nights of ‘you had to be there’ moments to help close out this year. We’ve been making our kind of church wherever we go for years; from dive bars to back porches, Dahlonega to Lindeville. It’s something special to bring it all to the only Steeple on Lower Broadway.”
While McBryde’s four dates won’t transpire until October and December, the opening of Redemption Bar is right around the corner, as McBryde’s sober-friendly bar plans to open its doors on August 28, 2025.
