Over the decades, fans have gone through extraordinary lengths to get to meet their favorite singers. And that included spending thousands of dollars. For fans of Taylor Swift, some dropped thousands just to get a ticket to her Eras Tour. But when it came to Gene Simmons, he offered more than a ticket to his show with the Roadie for a Day package. Coming in at $12,495, the price quickly caused some fans to turn the other way. But for a retired corrections sergeant, Dwayne Rosado, he was more than willing to drop the money. And according to him, it was worth every penny.ย
After ending his day alongside Simmons with his son Zach, Rosado discussed what it was like with the New York Times. Already knowing the price of such an experience, the outlet wanted to know if it was worth it. Rosado insisted, โThis is what I choose to spend my money on.” The fan added, โYou only live once, and I want to experience life. I’m not going to die with a lot of money. I’m going to die happy.”

Gene Simmons Recalls Woman Who Took His Virginity
While no person can blame Rosado for wanting to spend his money while alive, the experience included a dinner with Simmons. And during that dinner, the rockstar opened up about his life and how he lostย โhis virginity at age 13 or 14 to a married woman on his newspaper delivery route.โ Just another story to add to the legacy of Simmons, the fans and singer also enjoyed some local takeout from a nearby Italian restaurant.ย
Getting the chance to share the moment with his son, Rosado explained how wild it was to watch Simmons from on the stage. โIt felt awkward, because I have a whole crowd in front of me, and all I wanted to do is hug him. I didnโt care about anything else that was going on.”
Simmons even brought the two out on stage to get the crowd to sing Happy Birthday to Zach. Considering the Roadie for a Day โabsolutelyโ worth it, Rosado concluded, โNothing can beat tonight. Itโs cemented in Kisstory now, because itโs going to be on YouTube and everything else. So Iโll get to look back and see that moment forever.”
