Gracie Abrams Left “Heartbroken” After Being Forced To Cancel More Upcoming Concerts

Back in June 2024, Gracie Abrams released her second studio album with The Secret of Us. The album featured hit songs like “Risk” and “That’s So True.” Hitting No. 2 on the US Billboard 200, the singer used that momentum to help promote her The Secret of Us Tour. Having shared the stage with stars like Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift, Abrams hoped to give fans a concert that embodied her style and passion. But sadly, life had other plans when Abrams announced she was canceling her upcoming shows due to illness.

On Monday, Abrams was expected to perform at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. On the European leg of her tour, she also scheduled a performance in Leeds the next night. But both concerts ended up canceled as Abrams wrote on Instagram, “I hate that I have to write this again so soon. Unfortunately, I am really still struggling with this illness and have been advised that I cannot perform these next two nights.”

Listening to the experts and her body, Abrams explained how she never wanted to cancel the concerts. “I can’t tell you how much this breaks my heart. This tour is something I’ve been dreaming of since the album came out, and the shows we’ve played so far have meant more to me than I can tell you.”

Gracie Abrams Heartbroken Over The Canceled Concerts

Having poured her heart and passion into the tour, Abrams continued to focus on her fans. While trying to get healthy, the singer insisted, “The moment we have any concrete details about these two shows in your cities, we will be in touch. Please know I’d give anything to be able to be with you. Thank you for understanding. I’m sending all my love and my deepest regrets.”

The mysterious illness caused heartache for Abrams as she recently canceled another concert in Brussels. At the time, she revealed, “My body has been fighting off something gnarly for the past week, and despite doing everything in my power to keep it contained, it has gotten to a point where all medical advice I’ve received says I cannot perform and need to rest.”

While Abrams hoped to get back to the stage, fans offered the singer their love and support as she worked through the illness.
