Grammy Awards Moving Away From CBS
Outside of celebrating the nominees, the Grammy Awards made a massive change to the event when it was announced the ceremony was moving from CBS to Disney. For over 50 years, CBS hosted the Grammy Awards. And with a contract in place, the awards will continue to air on CBS until 2026. In 2027, the Grammys will move to ABC, Hulu, and Disney+.
Inking a ten-year deal with the Grammys, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden shared her excitement. “As The Walt Disney Company combines forces with The Recording Academy to open this exciting new chapter in the history of The Grammys, we do so with pride and gratitude. Live events have never been more important to our culture and industry, and we just acquired one of the crown jewels, adding to our portfolio of world-class programming across all genres.”
Still with CBS or a few more years, don’t miss the nominee announcement ceremony, airing on November 8th at 11:00 a.m.
