Hozier Braves the Elements, Showcases “One-Of-A-Kind Talent” With Iconic Pilgrimage Festival Performance

Since 2015, the Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival offered fans two days of fun and great music. Held in Franklin, Tennessee, the festival welcomed numerous hit singers to the stage over the years like Weezer and Willie Nelson. But this year, the festival suffered a great deal of rain due to the recent hurricane. Not new to bad weather, the festival had to be canceled back in 2018 due to storms. But this year, the festival was determined to move forward as singers like Hozier entertained thousands who weathered the storm.

Throughout his career in the spotlight, Hozier produced a promising discography with hit songs like “Eat Your Young”, “Cherry Wine”, and “Take Me to Church.” Wanting to celebrate his career with fans, the singer took the stage to offer more than rain. And fans appeared to love the entire set as one person shared a video on Twitter. “So incredibly honored to have seen @Hozier at the Pilgrimage festival!! What an amazing on-of-a-kind talent. I wish I could relive it forever. Also, glad the rain could make him feel right at home lol.”

Bad Weather, Great Times—Hozier Dazzles at Pilgrimage

Throughout the concert, fans consistently shared videos of Hozier performing songs like “It Will Come Back.” Not letting the rain dampen their spirits, fans embraced the wild weather with one person insisting, “I’m fine standing in the rain. I’ve been to Bonnaroo four times, I’m not afraid of mud.” Another person decided to come prepared with ponchos. “We’re prepared to stand in a little bit of rain, as long as it’s safe.”

Although continuing with the music festival, organizers stayed in constant contact with the Williamson County Emergency Management to make sure fans would be safe while attending the event in the rain. With the festival planned to continue on Sunday, one concertgoer in attendance offered some insight on how to make the most out of a rainy day. “Once you set the expectation that you’re gonna have fun no matter what, nothing can really disappoint you.”
