Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction of Mike Love, Stamos was asked about his thoughts on Wilson’s passing. Suggesting he didn’t even believe the text he received that told him Wilson passed, the actor added, “Mike and I were together when I got the text, and I had to tell him… ‘he’s gone.’”
Having spent time with Wilson thanks to the Beach Boys appearing on Full House during the 1980s, Stamos declared, “Without Brian Wilson, life would be a mistake. I mean, his music has been part of my DNA, and the beauty and the happiness and the joy and the optimism and the positivity that I’ve gotten from their music has made who I am.”
