Kelsea Ballerini Capitalizes on Loophole as ‘The Voice’ Announces Battle Advisors

Just a few weeks ago, season 27 of The Voice kicked off with Adam Levine returning as a coach. He sat beside stars like John Legend, newcomer Kelsea Ballerina, and Michael Bublé as they sifted through the new lineup of competitors. And with the weeks flying by, the coaches finally completed their teams. Already looking forward to the next phase of the show, the Battle Rounds, it seemed the producers went ahead and released the celebrities who would be appearing on the show as Battle Advisors.

Knowing how intense the battle rounds can be, each coach received a battle advisor to help the contestants perfect their style and voice. Over the season, the show welcomed numerous stars to the stage for advice. But with a new season, that means new advisors. And when it came to Bublé, he decided to call on Cynthia Erivo for her help. Having appeared in the hit film Wicked, Erivo spent the last several months promoting the film with Ariana Grande. Becoming a smash hit at the box office, Bublé hoped to extend his winning streak with the hitmaker.

As for Levine, he went a different route as he welcomed actress Kate Hudson to his team. Fashioning a career in Hollywood, Hudson has begun to pave a lane in the music industry, releasing her debut album, Glorious, back in May 2024. Still, navigating Hollywood and the music industry, Hudson is sure to bring a great deal of encouragement and advice.

Kelsea Ballerini Nabs Four Advisors For The Price Of One On ‘The Voice’

Moving to Legend, he rubbed shoulders with Coco Jones as the singer picked her as his advisor. Releasing the hit song, “ICU”, Jones watched as it dominated the airwaves, climbed the charts, and even won her a Grammy Award. Knowing how to entertain and perform, the singer’s influence is a crucial addition to Legend’s team.

And lastly, Ballerini seemed to find a loophole in the rules when it came to her advisor. Instead of picking a hit singer, she picked a few with the country group Little Big Town. Consisting of Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook, and Karen Fairchild, Ballerini received four advisors for the price of one.

With the battle rounds just around the corner, don’t miss the new episode of The Voice, airing on Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
