Gene Simmons is trying out a new career—weatherman. During a recent Los Angeles news report, the KISS rocker made a cameo alongside meteorologist Adam Krueger.

“You look much better in real life than you do on TV,” Simmons told the Fox 11 weatherman, who chuckled as he replied, “Oh. You look great in both.”
“I know that,” Simmons assured.
The men then turned their attention to the map behind them, and Simmons began giving an entertaining—albeit inaccurate—weather report.
“If you look there, that’s Las Vegas. Don’t pay attention there. Because we’re over here [in] Los Angeles,” he said. “Bakersfield [looks] pretty good, but I don’t see any numbers, so I can’t call out temperatures.”
Weatherman References Gene Simmons’ Song During Report
After assuring Simmons that they’d get to that portion of the weather report soon, Krueger referenced KISS’ 1975 hit, “Rock and Roll All Nite.”
“There’s been a lot of rain lately,” he said. “The rain, you drive us wild. We’ll drive you crazy talking about this rain.”
“I wrote that. I like that,” Simmons said, before informing Angelinos that more rain is coming soon. Krueger took over then, and once again alluded to the KISS track.
“People at home, you keep on shouting, you keep on shouting you want some better weather,” he said. “We have that coming up.”
Simmons then read out the seven-day out look, after which Krueger noted, “I’m thinking it’s looking pretty good if people want to rock and roll all night.”
“They should party every day,” Simmons replied, before accepting a fist bump from Krueger.
“Have we paid enough attention to the weather?” Simmons asked, before remarking, “Are you kicking me out? Is that what you just did?”
“You don’t have the thing in my ear where they’re saying ‘wrap,’ so I’ve got to wrap,” Krueger replied.
Simmons took that seriously and began to perform a rap in the weather report’s final moments.
Gene Simmons’ New Band
Simmons’ unexpected appearance came amid his latest musical venture—Gene Simmons Band. After KISS played their last show in Dec. 2023, Simmons formed the group, who went on tour in 2024 and will continue to do so this spring and summer.
“I tried to stay away from being on stage, but it’s too much fun,” Simmons told Ultimate Classic Rock. “I thought I was gonna take a few years off after the band I was in for 50 years decided to call it quits.”
Simmons noted “I have other stuff—a restaurant chain, a movie company, a lot of stuff,” but simply put, he “couldn’t stay away” from music.
