For a time, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher ruled the British airwaves as Britpop band Oasis. However, the siblings’ tabloid-worthy outbursts nearly overshadowed the success of hits like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.” Their tumultuous relationship came to a head in 2009, when the band split right before they were due to take the stage at the Rock en Seine Music Festival in Paris.

After 15 years of public spats, Oasis announced last August that they planned to reunite for a series of shows in the UK and Ireland. Due to high demand, the Oasis Live ’25 Tour—which kicks off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales—expanded to North America, South America, and Asia. Ahead of the start date, Liam Gallagher offered some insight into Oasis’ post-tour future.
Oasis’ Liam Gallagher Laments “Precious Time” Lost Over the Years
For years, rumors flew of an Oasis reunion between Noel and Liam Gallagher. Publicly, the brothers seemed alternately open to and scornful of the idea. They finally put those rumors to rest when they announced the Oasis Live ’25 Tour last summer. Now Liam, 52, is seemingly reflecting on what could have been if he and his older sibling could have simply put their feud to rest years ago.

“You know what it’s spiritual,” the Manchester native replied to an X/Twitter user’s question about what it was like singing with Noel, 58, again. “But I can’t help think about all those wasted years what a waste of PRECIOUS time.”

Certainly, this was music to the ears of longtime Oasis fans who hoped to see the reunion extend beyond the tour’s scheduled November 2025 conclusion. Another fan asked Liam if he could think of anything better than getting the band back together.
“Yeah staying together,” replied the lead singer.

Will We Get New Music?
There is seemingly nothing Liam Gallagher enjoys more than fanning the flames among Oasis fans on the internet. Last year, he told one fan on X/Twitter that the band’s new album was “already finished.”
Gallagher would later walk that comment back, claiming, “I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but f— me it was a laugh.”
In May 2025, Oasis manager Alec McKinlay adamantly denied any plans for new material during an interview with Music Week. Again, Liam hit back on social media, insisting that he and Noel were the only authorities on the future of Oasis.
“so let’s just take it 1 day at a time,” he wrote.
