On her Instagram, Carey announced the new version with an updated cover for the song, paying homage to the original album art. “While it is definitely not time to listen to Christmas music yet ‼️ I wanted to share a glimpse of [Merry Christmas 30] with you!” she wrote in the caption. “An homage to the original album cover, here is the cover art for two of the four new “All I Want For Christmas Is You” physical singles… available for pre-order now!”
Additionally, Mariah Carey is back with her annual Christmas tour, which kicks off on November 6 in Highland, California. She’ll be traveling to 20 cities, including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Nashville, and Boston, among many others. The tour concludes on December 17 in Brooklyn.

Mariah Carey Prepares For Christmas After Personal Tragedy
In August, Mariah Carey revealed to the public that her mother and sister had died on the same day, within hours of each other. Her mother, Patricia Carey, was 87, while her sister Alison was 63. At the time, she merely relayed the tragic news, asking for privacy and not revealing details.
“My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day,” she said in a statement to CNN at the time. “I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed,” she continued. “I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time.”
Carey had previously shared details about her complicated home life in her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, released last year. While she acknowledged her strained relationship with her mother, she also mentioned her in the dedication. She wrote, “And to Pat, my mother, who, through it all, I do believe actually did the best she could. I will love you the best I can, always.”
