Morgan Wallen has been teasing his next album I’m the Problem since last year. He released a trio of songs—“Love Somebody” “Lies, Lies, Lies” and “Smile”—between July and the end of the year. Last month, he revealed the album’s title and shared the title track. Recently, he put a new spin on “Love Somebody” for his fans on social media.

The official version of “Love Somebody” would be right at home on pop radio if not for Wallen’s twang. The electronic-infused beat and drum track make it one of the most radio-friendly releases in his catalog. Early this morning (February 5), though, he shared a solo piano version of the song, showing fans a different side of himself and the single.
In the video, Wallen explains that he’s recording the video alone while trying to put together a setlist for his forthcoming tour. “We probably won’t play this on tour, not this version anyway,” he said before sitting down behind a piano. “But I like how it sounds. I haven’t practiced it much but I think it sounds cool,” he added before beginning to tickle the ivories. Then, he transformed “Love Somebody” into a beautiful piano ballad.
Morgan Wallen Is Still Working on I’m the Problem
Morgan Wallen isn’t just gearing up for his next stadium tour. He is also still working on his next album. It is unclear what stage the creation of the new collection is in. However, he seems hopeful to release it sometime this year.
Last month, Wallen announced his upcoming tour, his next album, and the release date of the album’s title track. “This tour is named after my new album that I am still working on—I’m the Problem,” he shared on Instagram. So far, he has shared four songs from the forthcoming collection. So, it is clear that at least some of the tracks are finished.
Wallen will kick off his I’m the Problem Tour in June. He will also bring a star-studded list of supporting acts on the road with him. His guests on the tour include Brooks & Dunn, Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert, and Koe Wetzel among others.
