New ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ Remake Soundtrack to Feature Motorhead, CKY, More

Countless millennials discovered their favorite punk, hardcore, and metal songs and bands on the soundtracks of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series as kids. The gameplay was fun, challenging, and could keep players wrapped up for hours. However, the games’ soundtracks were the real stars of the show. Bands like Pennywise, Papa Roach, NOFX, Flogging Molly, Iron Maiden, and many more had songs on the games. Now, a new generation of gamers will get the experience with remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4.

The official reveal trailer for the remastered games dropped earlier this week. The clip showing revamped gameplay on some of the games’ most iconic courses featured equally iconic tunes. “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead plays in the background of the clip. That’s just one of the few songs that have been confirmed for the forthcoming release’s soundtrack. Watch the trailer below.

Press materials have confirmed six songs on the upcoming game’s soundtrack. However, it’s fair to assume that the complete list is much longer. At the same time, it’s safe to assume that the tracklists will be different than the original games due to licensing agreements and other behind-the-scenes things. See the full list of confirmed songs below.

  • “Amoeba” by Adolescents
  • “Mass Appeal” by Gang Starr
  • “96 Quite Bitter Things” by CKY
  • “Not the Same” by Bodyjar
  • “Outta Here” by KRS One
  • “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead

Fans will be able to hear the new release’s soundtrack in full on July 11. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 +4 will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 & 4 Remakes Could Have Fresh Soundtracks

While the tracks listed above fit the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater vibe like a glove, only “Outta Here” was featured on the soundtrack of either of the original games. The Gang Starr track appeared on the original Pro Skater 4 soundtrack. In fact, Gang Starr was the only artist listed among the new artists to be featured on one of the original games.

Longtime fans and new players will only have to wait a few more months before this classic returns to consoles with a new look, new tunes to discover, and new secret tapes to find.
