Ozzy Osbourne Documentary Sets Paramount+ Release Date, Follows Rock Icon’s Final Six Years of Life

While scheduled to release weeks ago, the documentary Ozzy: No Escape From Now was delayed after Ozzy Osbourne sadly passed away on July 22nd. Although an intimate look into Ozzy’s life, Paramount+ allowed the Osbourne family time to grieve his passing before airing the documentary. And now, almost two months after his death, Paramount+ announced the release date.

Although Ozzy struggled with several health issues over the last few years, the singer appeared in high spirits when he performed at the Back to the Beginning concert. Taking the stage one last time with Black Sabbath, the event raised millions for charity. Featuring stars like Steven Tyler, Metallica, Yungblud, Sammy Hagar, and numerous others, the concert was considered the perfect farewell for the heavy metal icon. And sadly, just a few weeks later – Ozzy passed at 76 years old.

When Will ‘Ozzy: No Escape From Now’ Air On Paramount+

As for Ozzy: No Escape From Now, the documentary took a deep dive into the singer’s life after he suffered a fall in 2019. The result of that incident led to numerous surgeries. And if that wasn’t enough, Ozzy also struggled with Parkinson’s disease. While including conversations with the icon, the documentary also showcased how his family, Sharon, Jack, Kelly, and Aimee, surrounded him with love over the last few years.

Recalling the deterioration of his mental and physical health, Aimee remembered how Ozzy was in the hospital for weeks. She insisted, “That was his biggest heartbreak.”

Thankfully, Ozzy found inspiration once again when teaming up with none other than Post Malone on the song “Take What You Want.” Finding his way back to the studio, Ozzy said, “It got me out of the blues. It helped me.”

Outside of the documentary exploring the final years of Ozzy’s life, the film will also include several tributes from Slash, James Hetfield, and even Tony Iommi. While the film showcased the resilience of Ozzy, due to his passing, it became his final gift to the legions of fans who supported him over the decades.

Don’t miss Ozzy: No Escape From Now, premiering on Paramount+ on October 7th. And for fans, the release offers one last chance to walk through Ozzy’s world.
