Sabrina Carpenter surprised her London crowd with some British legends. During the U.K. stop on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, Carpenter welcomed Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and John Taylor to the stage.

“I’m gonna need you guys to put that howling to good use,” Carpenter told the crowd, before the men walked out. “Could everybody please give it up and make so much noise for the legendary Duran Duran?”

The crowd obliged, and the trio began singing Duran Duran’s 1982 hit, “Hungry Like the Wolf.” Carpenter backed up the guys for the first portion of the song, before taking over in the second verse.

After the show, Duran Duran took to Instagram to thank Carpenter for inviting them onstage.

“Thank you @sabrinacarpenter for having us at her epic headlining show in Hyde Park last night!” the caption of their post read. “‘Hungry’ has never sounded so good!”

Carpenter returned the favor in a post of her own, writing, “I feel so lucky to have had the legendary @duranduran join me on stage amidst their insane schedule to give the UK such a special treat. Been a fan since I could howllll!!”

Sabrina Carpenter on Man’s Best Friend

The performance came ahead of the Aug. 29 release of Carpenter’s forthcoming album, Man’s Best Friend. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Carpenter revealed why she opted to put out new music while still on tour in support of her last album.

Short n’ Sweet was this magical gift; it fed me, and it fed a lot of other people in the world. It felt true to me, and it felt authentic to a lot of other people,” she said. “It’s rare that those line up ever, let alone more than once. It unlocked my brain to know myself more and more.”

“Not to be dramatic, but what can I do while my legs still work? I’m limber, let’s use it. My brain is sharp, let’s write,” Carpenter added. “I try not to get sad about the fact that nothing lasts forever, but genuinely, it’s such a beautiful time right now. I want to soak it up and keep making things while I’m feeling this way.”
