Stolen Poison Drum Kits From Rikki Rockett Recovered, Thief Arrested

For over four decades, Poison embraced the genre of glam rock as the band produced iconic songs like “Talk Dirty to Me” and “Life Goes On.” And throughout that time, the band consisted of Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, C.C. DeVille, and Rikki Rockett. Given the band’s success over the years, Rockett decided to place his drums in Donn’s Drum Vault, which was the largest collection of vintage drums in the world. Sadly, several drums from Rockett were stolen. While searching for the drums, Donn Bennett, the operator of Donn’s Drum Vault, offered an update.

While jumping on Facebook with some great news, Bennett wrote, “UPDATE. All of Rikki Rockett’s Poison stolen drums have been found!!!” Using both fans and law enforcement to help locate the drums, he added, “My sincere appreciation to everyone who helped spread the word. My deepest appreciation to our friends at the Tukwilla Guitar Center for their cool and quick action and for keeping the thieves occupied until the police arrived. Also to our new friends at the Burien Sheriff Department for their great police work and for being total pros! Thief was arrested. All of the drums were recovered and returned in perfect condition.”

While an intense situation having the drums stolen, Bennett decided to stay positive about the ordeal. “I feel deeply fortunate to be part of our drum community that watches out for each other like we all do. Keep it up. This is a big win for the good guys!”
