“This is a new day for us. We couldn’t be more excited to be with Big Machine,” said  lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney.

“We feel like it’s the best music we’ve done in years,” said bassist Jay DeMarcus of the band’s new album, Nothing Like This, due out November 16.

“Everybody at Big Machine kicks butt and takes name, and we want to be on the A team,” said lead singer Gary LeVox.

Added DeMarcus: “I’m just thrilled that Taylor let us on the label, really.”

“In keeping with the spirit of “Why Wait,” we’re releasing it today,” said Borchetta, before playing it for audience. The song is about trying to convince your lover to marry you.

“The stars can’t line up any straighter, let’s do it now and think about it later” goes one line. “Why wait another minute for something we should have done yesterday.”
