It’s been decades since 4 Non Blondes scored their massive hit, “What’s Up?” in 1993. Widely considered to be one of the best one-hit wonders of the decade, the alternative rock outfit led by Linda Perry only released one album during the heyday. Bigger, Better, Faster, More! was a chart-topping release back in 1992, but unfortunately, 4 Non Blondes disbanded just a couple of years later.

The band reunited in 2014 to perform at a concert fundraiser in Los Angeles, and Linda Perry performed a duet of the 4 Non Blondes hit “What’s Up?” in 2023 with Dolly Parton. Other than those brief instances, the band didn’t give much indication that they were getting back together.
Now, it looks like that’s about to change. It was just announced that 4 Non Blondes will reunite for their first “official” show in 30 years at BottleRock Napa Valley 2025 in May.
During an appearance on The Allison Hagendorf Show, Perry herself talked about the upcoming reunion. She even said that she had been “putting that energy out” for 4 Non Blondes to get back together.
“I’ve been kind of putting that energy out because I want 2025 to be my year,” said Perry. “I want to own this year because I feel like I’ve been planting seeds all over the place and I’m watching my little trees grow.”
Perry noted that the band received an offer from BottleRock to perform, and Perry “knew this was coming.”
“I want this to happen,” said Perry. “I’ve told the universe I want this to happen.”
4 Non Blondes Could Potentially (Maybe) Release Their Second Shelved Album
Perry said that she ran everything by the other band members and sadly admitted that they don’t stay in touch much anymore. However, she said that everyone was excited and accepted the offer to perform at the music festival, which is slated to start on May 23.
“So I’m gonna go hang out with them in San Francisco, rehearse and just dick around,” Perry continued. “Not really have a plan, but just see how it feels.”
Since Perry seems to have an all-or-nothing attitude about things this year. So, who’s to say that 4 Non Blondes won’t release their shelved follow-up to Bigger, Better, Faster, More!?
According to Perry, the never-released album was fully recorded and “pretty decent”. However, shortly before 4 Non Blondes broke up entirely, Perry left the band and said that her “heart couldn’t do it”. That being said, Perry has not confirmed whether or not the shelved album will finally get released.
BottleRock Napa Valley 2025 will kick off in May and feature performances from Sublime, Goose, Cage The Elephant, and more.
