Back in March, Canadian rocker Aldo Nova took the stage on the 2025 Monsters of Rock Cruise for a string of performances. Loving his time on the cruise, the singer looked to keep the good times rolling with a slew of concert dates. Kicking off on July 9th in Ohio, Nova scheduled performances throughout the rest of the year. But sadly, the star had to cancel several of his shows after he suffered a spinal injury due to a fall.

Sharing a post on Facebook, Nova’s wife broke the news about the canceled performances. Although not the first star to cancel their concerts, Nova’s reasoning surrounded a fall. “Hello, my name is Sylvia Bechard, and I am Aldo Nova’s wife. Due to an unfortunate fall down a flight of stairs, Aldo has suffered a cervical spine fracture at the level of C1, which is a serious injury. Fortunately, he does not need spinal surgery but has to wear a special neckbrace for up to a year depending on his progress. I will keep you updated on a regular basis.”

Fans Wish Aldo Nova A Fast Recovery
While not the news fans of Nova wanted to hear, the fact that his wife claimed he didn’t need surgery was great news. Fans rallied around the singer, writing in the comment section, “Myself and Im sure the Rest of the Aldo Nova Family, will be Sending Aldo and his Family Love and Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery. On the plus side, we the Fans should get at least another New Album or 2…lol” Another person added, “Sending prayers for Aldo! I was 15 when his first album came out and I remember ‘Fantasy’ being one of the ‘cool songs’ that really liked.”
Hoping for a speedy recovery! Stairs are never good!”
As for the canceled shows, the dates included:
July 9th – Cincinnati, OH
July 25th – Menhaga, MN
August 30th – St. Charles, MO
October 10th – Akron, OH
October 11th – Columbus, OH
November 21st – Las Vegas, NV
Besides his spinal injury, Nova shared his excitement about his upcoming performances. Just last month, he shared a post explaining how he was working on his new set. “Me and my Yorkshire Terrier Roxy taking in some fresh before I lock myself away in the basement, working on the new set for our upcoming July shows where we’ll now be doing almost my complete first album, and, believe it or not, two songs from my Twitch and Subject […Aldo Nova] and of course Blood on [the] Bricks albums.”
With fans excited to see Nova perform, hopefully, the singer will find his way back to the spotlight in the near future.
