In April 2021, Taylor Swift began releasing freshly recorded versions of her first six albums. Ever since, Swifties have relentlessly analyzed the pop star’s every move for hints of which “(Taylor’s Version)” is coming next. More than three years later, Swift has only her name and her Reputation to take back. And the “Fortnight” singer re-ignited fan speculation about the latter when one of the album’s signature tracks made its “Eras” tour debut.

Taylor Swift Performs “I Did Something Bad” For the First Time
The months leading up to 2017’s Reputation was a strange time for Swifties. Taylor Swift had gone uncharacteristically dark on social media amid highly-publicized spats with rapper Kanye West (now Ye) and then-wife Kim Kardashian. In November 2017, the public finally got their answer in the form of Reputation. The standout track “I Did Something Bad” saw the 14-time GRAMMY winner at her most unapologetic. They’re burning all the witches, even if you aren’t one / So go ahead and light me up, she snarls.
Swift is now over a year into her unprecedented “Eras” Tour. And “I Did Something Bad” has been conspicuously absent from every setlist—until Saturday’s (Aug. 17) show at Wembley Stadium in London.
After cheekily announcing that she had been simply “waiting for the right crowd,” Swift launched into an acoustic rendition of the song.
Does This Mean We’re Finally Getting ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version?)
Much to the chagrin of Swifties everywhere, Taylor Swift did not announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) during her London show. A swath of online fans have long believed she was reserving the live debut of “I DId Something Bad” for that very announcement.
It wasn’t the first “bait and switch” she has pulled on fans regarding the 2017 record.
“taylor swift just did the funniest thing ever and played I did something bad without announcing rep tv im cackling,” one fan wrote on X/Twitter.
Swift has already promised some “fire” vault tracks for the re-recorded version of Reputation. Hopefully, the “I Did Something Bad” debut means an announcement is on the horizon—but with Taylor Swift, who can ever know for sure?
