Benson Boone just made his debut GRAMMYs performance. The pop star took the stage at the 67th GRAMMY Awards on Sunday and things went off without a hitch.

The Best New Artist nominee performed “Beautiful Things” during the telecast. The crowd got into the performance, dancing and singing along to Boone’s impressive vocals.
His performance was anything but ordinary. He started singing while sitting at a table in the crowd. Then, as he made his way to the stage, two audience members ripped off Boone’s suit to reveal a sparkly blue jumpsuit.
When he made it up to the stage, he did his signature flip—two times!—and finished his epic performance.

Boone, who released his debut album, Fireworks and Rollerblades, last year, is in good company as a first-time nominee. The “Beautiful Things” singer joins the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey all of whom were nominated for the fist time this year.
“The last two years of my life, after writing music and releasing music, have happened so fast, and it’s so unexpected for me,” Boone told the Recording Academy last year. “I never really thought this would be what my life would look like two years ago. It’s taken off really fast, and it just reminds me of fireworks tied to rollerblades, like a rocket ship taking off.”
The 2025 GRAMMY Awards
Boone was just one of many stars who took the stage Sunday. Chris Martin, St. Vincent, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Roan, and Carpenter also performed at the ceremony. Trevor Noah hosted the festivities for the fifth straight year.
When it comes to nominations, Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nods. Charlie XCX, Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone follow that with seven each. Taylor Swift, Roan, and Carpenter each earned six nominations.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé, Carpenter, Eilish, Roan and Swift are all nominated the three big categories. On top of that, Carpenter and Roan are competing in the Best New Artist category. If either of them happened to win all four general categories they’d be the first to do so since Eilish in 2020.
Despite all the exciting GRAMMYs moments this year, the ceremony does look a little different. In the wake of the devastating California wildfires, the telecast was reimagined as a fundraiser to support relief efforts and aid music professionals impacted by the blazes. So far, The Recording Academy and MusiCares pledged $1 million to the cause.
