Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s appearance at the Grammys has unarguably stolen the evening’s spotlight. Both West and Censori allegedly did not receive an invite, though they showed up on the red carpet, and that is when Bianca Censori revealed her now very viral look. Subsequently, Grammy staff members escorted West and Censori out of the show, and as a result, they have been popping up in the headlines ever since.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori undeniably performed one of the most bold and controversial acts in Grammy history last Sunday. Consequently, the masses have been waiting for the details about the moment. That being so, Grammy executive producer Raj Kapoor recently chimed in on the matter.
Kanye West and Bianca Censori Broke The “Artistic Black-Tie” Dress Code
In an interview with People, Raj Kapoor divulged the details about the stunt performed at the Grammys’ red carpet walk. He told the publication, “Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices.” “But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy [presents the Grammys] would have to answer.”
Regarding the latter statement, Kanye West did receive a nomination for best rap song for his Vultures I single, “Carnival.” However, Kapoor made it fairly clear that the award was not televised, thus, he was not aware of West’s presence. He told People, “I’m not sure if he was at Pre-Tel” and “That award was definitely in Pre-Tel.” “If they were invited guests because we [would] know everybody who’s seated at the VIP tables that we have in front,” added Kapoor.
“We know each person who’s coming because every table is numbered. And so our director has to know where those artists are for award categories.” Per Kapoor’s comments, West and Censori’s invitation status is unclear. Invitation or not, Kapoor’s comments don’t diminish the fact that Censori and West deliberately broke the “artistic black-tie” dress code. In relation to the rule, Raj Kapoor acknowledged that “in the music industry, I guess that’s up for interpretation.”
