Liam Gallagher Is Already Tired of Hearing About the Oasis Tour Ticketing Fiasco “It Is What It Is”

Oasis announced their long-awaited reunion tour last August. Since then, fans who have been waiting years to see the Gallagher brothers onstage together have been trying to get their hands on tickets. Unfortunately, high demand, dynamic pricing, and other issues have put kinks in many fans’ plans. Liam Gallagher recently responded to the fan outcry about the ongoing ticketing fiasco.

Ticketmaster announced it would look into the ticketing issues. Additionally, the company pledged to cancel the tens of thousands of tickets purchased by scalpers hoping to flip them on the resale market for a profit. Additionally, Ticketmaster planned to cancel tickets that were purchased by bots or in cases where fans bought more than four tickets per household per show or used multiple identities to purchase tickets. According to Billboard, many fans’ tickets were canceled and refunded this week. However, those who bought from an unauthorized third party will receive no refunds for their canceled tickets. This spurred at least one fan to reach out to Liam on Twitter.

Liam Gallagher Gives His Opinion on the Oasis Ticket Debacle

Twitter user Karen Kelly replied to one of Liam Gallagher’s tweets with an inquiry. “Liam, what do you think about the ticket situation? Thinking fans are bots and getting their money returned?” she wrote.

“I don’t make the rules,” the Oasis frontman replied a few minutes later. “We’re trying to do the right thing. It is what it is. I’m the singer. Get off my case,” he added.

When Kelly explained that she wasn’t on Gallagher’s “case” but was just wondering if he had seen what was going on, he replied with more snark. “I see everything I work out,” he tweeted. The “I work out” line became a bit of a running joke in the thread. His reply to Kelly came a few minutes after one fan asked how he was so fast at replying to tweets. “I work out,” he told them.

Oasis will embark on their reunion tour later this year. It all starts at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on July 4.
