The Voice Top 8 just became the Top 12. Last week, host Carson Daly announced that the show was implementing a new rule in its 27th season.

After a grueling Playoff round in which ultra-talented performers were eliminated, Daly revealed that four such singers would be returning.

Dubbed the “Super Save,” the new rule allowed coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Adam Levine to bring back one contestant they’d eliminated.

The chosen people, Daly said, would be welcomed back to the show to compete during the Live Semi-Finals.

The coaches were delighted by the opportunity. The newly reinstated contestants were announced during the live May 12 episode of the show.

Daly revealed that the coaches had decided to bring back Olivia Kuper Harris, Kaiya Hamilton, Jaelen Johnston, and Conor James to compete.

Where The Voice Teams Stand After the “Super Save”

With the Super Save choices made, each coach now has three singers competing in the Semi-Finals. Jaelen Johnston joins Alanna Lynise and Iris Herrera on Team Kelsea, while Kaiya Hamilton will be competing alongside Jadyn Cree and Adam David on Team Bublé.

Team Legend is made up of the recently returned Olivia Kuper Harris, as well as Bryson Battle and Renzo. Lastly, Team Adam welcomed back Conor James, who joined Kolby Cordell and Lucia Flores Wiseman.

Fans won’t know which contestants make it through to The Voice‘s season 27 Finals until May 13.

After a one hour recap episode at 8/7c, Daly will reveal the contestants that made it to the last stage of the competition during the Live Semi-Final Results episode at 9/8c.
