It’s Wallen’s 18th time atop the chart overall. Meanwhile, his 2025 album, I’m the Problem, has now produced four No. 1 hits on the  Country Airplay chart.

The album found its first success last November when “Lies Lies Lies” took the top spot for one week. Then, in February, the 37-song LP’s second hit, “Love Somebody,” stayed at No. 1 for three weeks. Most recently, the album’s title track had an eight-week No. 1 run that started in April.

Wallen is the only country singer to have more than one No. 1 hit in 2025.

As for the LP, following its May release, I’m the Problem spent six weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart.

Morgan Wallen Tried Something New With I’m the Problem

During an April appearance on This Past Weekend with Theo Vaughn, Wallen discussed his want to try something new with I’m the Problem.

“A lot of the things that were successful in the past were like whiskey drinking, all that stuff, and I’ve almost explored every angle of that that’s possible. Last album, I had plenty of trap beats and stuff like that,” he said. “This time, I was like, ‘Hey man, maybe let’s tone that down a little bit.”

Wallen went on to note of his fans, “if I’m tired of it, they’re probably tired of it.”

“You can still get that swagger, you can accomplish certain things without that same thing,” he said. “A lot of my guys that I write with… we had a good sense of what we were shooting for. I had to work harder. Just finding new angles and thinking up new ideas.”

As for the title of the album, Wallen told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about why he picked the name of his LP.

“I think there was a little bit of playing into just everything I’ve been through in my life…not like I’m the victim or anything, I’ve caused a lot of it,” he said. “I think that’s my way… of accepting that responsibility and saying, ‘Hey, maybe I am the problem sometimes.’”

“It was also a moment where I thought just because of some of the recent changes and things that I’ve done in my life, this might be the last time I get to honestly play that part, you know?” Wallen continued. “I don’t know that for a fact, I just live day by day, but that just seems to be where I’m at as a man… maybe just one last time of being that guy.”
