Ella Langley is taking a break. The “You Look Like You Love Me” singer took to Instagram on Aug. 11 to announced that she’s canceled all of her remaining August shows.

“I’m so sad to be posting this,” Langley wrote. “The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more rundown than ever.”
“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health—mind, body, and heart,” she continued. “I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”
Langley further noted that “sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling use to slow down.”
She concluded her post with a message to her fans, writing, “I’m so grateful for your understanding and your love—it truly means the world to me.”
Langley also included a Bible passage in her post, which read, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
As a result of her decision, fans will not see Langley open up for Morgan Wallen in Ohio, play in Nashville, or open for Riley Green in Montana and Idaho. She likewise will no longer be playing at Colorado’s Red Rocks Ampitheatre.
“I’ll be back on the road in September,” Langley promised, “ready to give you my all.”
Langley’s first post-break show is scheduled for Sept. 6 in Madison, Illinois.

News of Langley’s break came after she revealed that she doesn’t plan to release her sophomore album until 2026.
“I think that there’s something to be said in taking your time with making the record and putting all those pieces in place where it can last long a long time,” she said during an interview with Katie & Company. “Last in a way where fans can keep digging into it and digging into it, and finding new songs that they love, and finding new little pieces about the record that’s different.”
Langley noted that she’s also still reveling in the release of her debut album, Hungover. The record celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month. Langley did promise, however, that she has “a concept” for her forthcoming LP and is busy “writing towards that concept.”
