A Heartbroken Luke Combs Has “Something Really Special” Coming for Those Affected by Hurricane Helene

On September 26, Hurricane Helene touched down in Florida as it ripped through the state. But it wasn’t only Florida as the storm made its way to South Carolina, Nothing Carolina, Georgia, and even Virginia. According to recent reports, over 60 people lost their lives due to the hurricane and over 200 people needed rescuing. With homes destroyed and families doing their best to rebuild their lives, country singer Luke Combs decided to offer more than love and support to the victims and their families.

With millions still without power, Combs hoped to do whatever he could to help those families in need. He shared on Twitter, “Absolutely heartbroken for everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene. Especially my folks in Western North Carolina. Me and my team have been making some calls and I think we’ve got something really special lined up to help the Carolinas as much as we can. More details to come ASAP.”

Not giving too many details surrounding his plans, the post gained over one million views for Combs as fans wrote, “That’s really thoughtful of you and your team to help out with the Hurricane Helene impact in Western North Carolina. It’s great to hear that you have something special lined up to support the Carolinas. Looking forward to hearing more details soon!”

Luke Combs Not The Only Country Singer Looking To Help Out

Outside of Combs wanting to help, Eric Church even took a moment to discuss how heartbroken he was over the damage. “I’m devastated by the destruction in the mountains of western North Carolina. These are our family members, friends and neighbors. The community we live in part of the year still has people stranded and desperate for extraction. The whole area is in dire need of help.”

Having a strong connection to North Carolina, Church continued, “Anyone who knows anything about me knows what North Carolina and specifically this area in the mountains means to me personally as well as creatively.” The country star added a link to the Red Cross for those looking to donate to the relief fund.

As for his upcoming concert, Church ended up postponing the SiriusXM Outsiders Radio Show live event. Originally set for September 30th, the singer decided to move it to November 19th.
