Luke Combs helped usher in Post Malone’s country era with the tear-jerking duet “Guy For That,” off Malone’s album F-1 Trillion. More than collaborators, however, the pair seem to have struck up a genuine friendship. They’ve apparently been buds since 2018—so it makes sense that Combs can give the “Pour Me a Drink” singer some hard truths. The “Fast Car” hitmaker recently put his friend on blast for sporting “bootleg” merchandise.

Post Malone Reps Luke Combs Onstage
Post Malone shared a carousel of photos from his recent show in an Instagram post Friday (Sept. 6.) In the pics, the genre-bending star is wearing a T-shirt with a photo of Luke Combs splashed across the front. The name “Combs” is scrawled above the photo, with the song title “Beer Never Broke My Heart” below.
While flattered by the shout-out, Combs couldn’t resist calling out the counterfeit merchandise. “Shirt is gas,” wrote the “Beautiful Crazy” singer in a comment. “Even though it’s bootleg haha.”
Some Instagram users urged Combs to return the favor. “hahaha so you should wear one with Austin’s face now,” one fan wrote.

Last year, Combs’ legal team sued a woman who was selling homemade tumblers and T-shirts with the “Where the Wild Things Are” singer’s likeness on them. When Combs learned of the lawsuit, he quickly brought it to a halt. Later, he further tried to rectify the situation by sending the woman $11,000 and promising proceeds from his own tumbler sales to her and her family.
