Taking to Instagram, the singer shared a heartfelt caption about the record, urging her fans to join her in counting down to its release. While a specific date has not been provided yet, Jepsen explained that the album was initially intended to be a collection of B-sides but has evolved into a fully realized body of work. With this unexpected transformation, Jepsen’s new album promises to be a complete and cohesive musical journey.

“It’s been the loneliest time, it’s been the loveliest time. After a season of hibernation comes the season of blossoming🌻. I got to know loneliness and discover the beauty in it. The loneliest time taught me that growth comes from being planted in darkness. But now the world has opened itself back up again and in turn so have we. It’s time for celebration and for all the lessons we have learned to burst into joyful action. The Loveliest Time,” she revealed on Instagram.

“At this point you know me so well that I won’t even tease about a b sides. It’s almost disrespectful because you know that it’s coming. And in fact this is the time to announce that it’s here. It’s done and a month from now The Loveliest Time will be all yours. I can’t really call it a b sides as if these were cast off ideas,” she continued. “It’s the completed set to a body of work that taught me so much about love and loneliness and myself. So let the countdown begin. Thank you for your continued support. Always x.”

Jepsen broke through in the industry in 2012 when she achieved a breakthrough with her highly praised track “Call Me Maybe.” This single emerged as the top-selling hit of the year, surpassing 18 million copies sold worldwide. It achieved the coveted number-one position in over 19 nations and opened doors to significant record contracts.

Jepsen has had many accolades throughout her career including three Billboard Music Awards, Juno Awards, and an Allan Slaight Award. She also has several Grammy Awards nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.
