While millions of people tuned in around the world to watch the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, they received a special treat from Snoop Dogg. Throughout the Olympic Games, the famed rapper explored the vast array of competitions presented. He even showcased his incredible fashion sense alongside Martha Stewart. But outside of his broadcasting abilities, the rapper performed with Dr. Dre at the closing ceremony. And with both performers teasing a collaboration on a new album called Missionary, it appears Dr. Dre let some new information slip.

Discussing his Olympic performance with Entertainment Tonight, the interview took a different turn when the producer was asked about upcoming projects like Missionary. When asked how much he worked on the album, Dr. Dre revealed, “I did a couple of songs, I’m not sure one of them is gonna make it. We have Sting on a song, we have… Man, it’s an amazing roster of artists on this album, I shouldn’t have even said that to be honest.”
Dr. Dre Claims Women Will Enjoy New Album With Snoop Dogg
With Sting supposedly featured on the album with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, the album continues to gain momentum as fans anxiously await its release. Having worked with Snoop Dogg in the past, Dr. Dre explained how times have changed given their age. “It was much more fun, to be honest, because we were kids at that time — he was 19 and I think I’m six years older. So one’s gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and my music. I feel this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career — I’m not playing!”
Knowing fans have patiently waited for the new album, Dr. Dre promised, “I think people are really gonna enjoy this… I have to be done and delivered by September 1 to have a November release.”
Explaining how the album could come with 16 songs, Dr. Dre refused to give away any more details about Snoop Dogg. But he did add, “It’s an album that women are going to enjoy. and like I said, it shows a massive amount of growth and maturity with the lyrics and with the music.”
