“Dogg sacrificed ‘cause he got an album dropping in July,” Kurupt said in June. “This album with Dr. Dre dropping in July,” he clarified. Dillinger added, “He got an album coming out next month with Dr. Dre.” Unfortunately, July has come and gone and Missionary still isn’t out.

Recently, Dre spoke to Entertainment Tonight about new music, the Olympic closing ceremony, and more. During the conversation, he gave an update on the forthcoming collaborative album.
Dr. Dre on the Upcoming Snoop Dogg Album
“On another note, me and Snoop working together again and it’s been 30 years,” Dr. Dre said. “Believe it or not, I’ve only produced one album on Snoop which was Doggystyle and that was 30 years ago,” he added. “We’ve done a lot of things in between—songs and performances and film and things of that nature—but this is my first time producing an entire album on him,” he said of the upcoming Snoop Dogg album.
“It was much more fun, to be honest,” Dre said about being in the studio with Snoop for the first time in 30 years. “We were kids at that time. I think Snoop may have been 18 or 19 years old and I think I’m six years older than him. So, we were kids at that time,” he said of making Doggystyle together. “This one is going to show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career,” he added.
The Album Is Coming Soon
Dr. Dre said that after he finished the Entertainment Tonight interview, he had to go into his studio to start mixing tracks for the album. “I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16. So, we’ve got that thing happening. I’m on song number 11 as far as the mixes go. I have to be done and delivered by September 1 to have a November release,” he revealed.
