Faye Webster Shares New Single “But Not Kiss,” Announces North American Tour

Faye Webster is back, armed with a new single and a North American tour. The indie-folk singer-songwriter has shared her latest song “But Not Kiss,” a bewitching offering that shows off her otherworldly vocals against a dazzling arrangement. It’s a song, Webster explained in a statement (via Pitchfork), that “could be a really romantic song or a really anti-romantic song.”

I want to sleep in your arms but not kiss / I long for your touch but don’t miss / Don’t want to regret any of this, she sleepily harmonizes in the song’s first verse. “It’s something I’ve looked for but struggled to find in other love songs, for them to describe this conflict or contradiction,” she continued of the track, hinting that “But Not Kiss” is a fair preview of what’s to come from the artist.

Below, check out her new single, and its accompanying music video, which was filmed at the famed Bob Baker Marionette Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Along with new music, Webster also announced dates for her upcoming North American tour, a fall trek that will see the star take on major cities across the United States and Canada. Find dates for the 17-city October-November run below.
