In the wake of Foreigner’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the band has announced that it has extended its farewell tour into the fall of 2025. The current touring incarnation of Foreigner doesn’t feature any members who played with the band during its heyday or were inducted into the Rock Hall, but at least two of those musicians will be joining the group at select upcoming shows.

According to a post on Foreigner’s social media pages, founding keyboardist Al Greenwood and former bassist Rick Wills will sit in with the band at every show of its 2024 Las Vegas residency at the Venetian theater. That eight-show engagement is scheduled to run from October 25 through November 9. The message suggests that the former members also will appear at other upcoming shows, although it’s not clear which ones.

In addition to the Vegas residency, Foreigner has more than two dozen concerts lined up in 2025. They span from a March 13 show in Hollywood, Florida, through an October 10-11 stand in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Tickets for Foreigner’s shows are available now via various outlets, including StubHub.
Greenwood played with Foreigner from its 1976 inception until 1980. Wills joined the band in 1979 and played with the group until 1992. Both musicians have also made guest appearances at Foreigner concerts multiple times over the years.
More About Foreigner’s Rock Hall Induction
Foreigner was inducted into the Rock Hall on Saturday, October 19, at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Sammy Hagar introduced the band at the ceremony, while Greenwood, Wills, and original frontman Lou Gramm were on hand to accept the honor.
Founding guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader Mick Jones has been battling Parkinson’s disease and was unable to attend the event, so he was represented by his daughter Annabelle Dexter-Jones. Original Foreigner drummer Dennis Elliot declined to attend the ceremony because of a conflict over the event’s schedule.
The other ex-Foreigner members who were inducted into the Rock Hall, multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald and bassist Ed Gagliardi, died in 2022 and 2014, respectively.
Three Foreigner songs were performed at the ceremony. Each tune featured guest singers, and a backing group that included Slash, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and members of Foreigner’s current touring band. Demi Lovato belted out “Feels Like the First Time,” while Hagar delivered a rocking rendition of “Hot Blooded.” For the finale, Gramm was joined by Kelly Clarkson for the classic ballad “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Greenwood and Wills also took part in that performance.
