Though Vince Neil was not aboard his plane when it crashed at Scottsdale Municipal Airport, his girlfriend reportedly was.

TMZ reported that Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andreani, and her friend, Ashley, were on the plane at the time of the incident. The women are currently hospitalized, the outlet reported.
According to the outlet, Andreani broke five ribs in the crash. The couple’s dogs, who were also on the plane, survived, as did Andreani’s pal, the outlet reported.
Neil’s manager told the outlet that the musician’s heart goes out to the victims families involved. The manager added that Neil is thankful his girlfriend and her friend are safe. He additionally noted that Mötley Crüe is brainstorming ideas to help the victims’ families.
While the two women and the pups survived, at least one person did not. Five people were involved in the accident, Scottsdale Fire Captain Dave Folio said in a press conference.
One person was dead on arrival. Meanwhile, two other people are in critical condition. The fourth person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fifth person refused treatment, the local ABC affiliate reported.
It’s unclear which injury classifications apply to Andreani and her friend.
What Caused Vince Neil’s Plane to Crash
As for what led to the crash, the local station reported that officials believe the landing jet’s left main gear failed upon landing.
The other plane involved in the incident is owned by Jet Pros, LLC, which is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Gus Toulatos, the company’s Director of Operations, provided more details about the accident in a statement the local NBC affiliate.
“Our plane, a Gulfstream G-200 business jet was parked on the ramp when it was hit by a LearJet 35 at around 2:45 PM local time,” he said. “There were no injuries on board the Gulfstream, but external damages were sustained to the aircraft.”
Meanwhile, Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky told the first outlet that she offers her “deepest condolences to those involved in the accident and for those who have been taken to our trauma center for treatment.”
Flights at the airport have been paused in the wake of the incident.
