Here’s Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour Setlist

Sabrina Carpenter has embarked on her highly anticipated Short n’ Sweet Tour. The trek sees her lean into her retro aesthetic by creating the Short n’ Sweet Show, a variety show akin to those in the ’50s and ’60s–albeit with an irreverent edge.

The setlist sees her play through the entirety of her latest album with older hits mixed in. Each of the songs is coupled with a flirty, nostalgic stage set up and costume. If Carpenter knows how to do anything, it’s curate an iron clad aesthetic.

Carpenter is quickly becoming known for her powerful stage presence. She re-ups that reputation on this tour. In-between powerfully performed songs, Carpenter injects her trademark quips. It seems to be an experience, not just a concert. The pre-recorded commercial clips further drive home the TV show motif.

One much talked about aspect of Carpenter’s show is the “Nonsense” outro–or lack thereof. She couldn’t do it forever, no matter how enticing it was for the audience. Carpenter was making a habit of creating an innuendo filled outro for that hit. For this tour, she decided to scrap that. But, worry not, she made the change fun with the help of a “broken microphone” bit.

The Short n’ Sweet Tour marks Carpenter’s first headlining arena tour. The shows come on the heels of Carpenter’s stint with Taylor Swift on her lauded Eras Tour. Clearly the time on that massive stage inspired Carpenter to take her own performances to the next level.
