Indie Band Vandoliers Ask Fans for Help to Fix Van Before Tour

The indie alternative country band Vandoliers is finding out that the fans have their back. The band, consisting of Joshua Fleming, Cory Graves, Trey Alfaro, Dustin Fleming, Travis Curry, and Mark Moncrieff, found themselves in a bit of trouble when their van broke down and needed a bit of upkeep.

That’s when the group turned to social media to reach out to their fans and explain their unfortunate situation just two weeks before they are about to hit the road for a 35-date tour.

“Original post below.

“After a couple laps around the country this year, our van is in need of a new turbo and computer among other things,” the band wrote. “In short, we need $7,500 in repairs to get Vantonio out of hock. It’s kind of scary because we leave for a 35-date tour in less than two weeks and aren’t sure how we will pay for it in time. If you have the ability, send a donation to help get Vandoliers back on the road, we would be eternally grateful. We always say we couldn’t do this without y’all, and now that’s true more than ever. #vffv.”

Their fans came to their aid, immediately responding to the Vandoliers call for help. Elated about the support they received, the band shared an update on the situation.

“UPDATE: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

“While we absolutely hate ever having to be in the position to ask for help, the overwhelming support you guys have shown in the last day have been humbling and awe-inspiring. We can’t thank y’all enough. Hitting the mark in less than half a day is mind-blowing and a tremendous blessing. We are absolutely beside ourselves and overcome with emotion to say the least. Y’all really know how to make a little independent band feel loved. We are gonna make it, and we’re gonna make y’all proud. VFFV!”

The grateful band took a moment to thank their fans for the help. “Can’t thank y’all enough. Tour back on. Overwhelmed with emotion. Love all y’all so damn much.”

Vandoliers are set to hit the road with a couple of dates in early August before they join Flogging Molly with The Bronx on August 17 in Denver Colorado. The tour will be making stops in Salt Lake City, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, Detroit, and Atlanta before wrapping on September 30 in Orlando, Florida.

“Feeling really special announcing our summer tour with hero’s @floggingmolly and @bronxvision. Come see us on our biggest tour to date across the country this August and September!” the band announced earlier this year.

Now the Vandoliers are worry free as the gear up to take the van for a spin on tour. “Feeling very emotional at all the support today,” they Tweeted. “Pulled us back from the brink. All y’all are the fucking best. Truly.”
