Although kicking off the new season not that long ago, SNL is already taking a break. That’s right, there is no new episode of SNL airing tonight. While producing several hit shows already, the cast will spend some time away from Studio 8H until November 2nd. Able to enjoy Halloween before needing to get back to work, SNL revealed who taking over the stage when the show returns.

Looking ahead, it appears that former SNL writer John Mulaney will host the show when it returns for the sixth time. Having worked for SNL in the past and a veteran when it comes to hosting, the night is sure to bring hilarious moments and some thoughts on him surpassing the Five-Timers Club. But what about the musical guest?

Chappell Roan Heads To ‘Saturday Night Live’

Seeming to explode overnight, Chappell Roan wasted no time making a name for herself in the music industry. Not remotely shy about taking up for herself, the singer made headlines when she snapped back at photographers and explained the extreme pressure placed on her by the music business and fans.

While learning to navigate stardom, Roan will make her debut on SNL when she takes the stage as the musical guest alongside Mulaney. Back in August, Roan shared her thoughts surrounding fame and fans on Instagram. “For the past 10 years I’ve been going non-stop to build my project and it’s come to the point that I need to draw lines and set boundaries. I want to be an artist for a very very long time. I’ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don’t own you s**t. I chose this career path because I love music and art and honoring my inner child, I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, no do I deserve it.”

Turning off the comments on the post, Roan simply put the statement wasn’t up for discussion. “If you see me as a b***h or ungrateful or my entire statement upsets you, baby that’s you… you gotta look inward and ask yourself ‘wait why am I so upset by this? Why is a girl expressing her fears and boundaries so infuriating?’ That is all. Thank you for reading.”

Continuing to find a happy balance between life and fame, don’t miss Roan on Saturday Night Live, airing live on November 2nd at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and Peacock.
