Kelly Clarkson has missed yet another appearance on her talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, and it looks like a family emergency might be behind her absence. Clarkson has been absent from her Daytime Emmy-winning program for a few weeks now. Several guest hosts have filled in and performed with flying colors, but fans are wondering what has been going on with Clarkson lately.

According to an unnamed source who recently contacted Entertainment Tonight, Kelly Clarkson has not been on her show recently because of an alleged family emergency. Specifically, the source used the words “sudden family emergency” to describe her absence.
The source also claims that recent guest hosts on The Kelly Clarkson Show were originally supposed to be guests on the program ahead of the “emergency”. They were allegedly offered the opportunity to guest-host the show when they arrived on set. They were allegedly not told why Clarkson would not be appearing on her program.
How Long Has Kelly Clarkson Been Absent From Her Show?
Clarkson has been absent from The Kelly Clarkson Show for weeks now. She was absent on the March 3 episode, in which actor Simu Liu took her seat. She did return on March 4 and notably did not mention her absence to the audience.
Clarkson went on to host her show on March 5. However, on March 6, she was absent yet again. Comedic talent Roy Wood, Jr. filled in for Clarkson instead for that episode.
Since then, Clarkson has continued to miss episodes of her show. A variety of different guest hosts have held things down for episodes on March 7, 11, 13, and 14. Model Molly Sims was kind enough to guest-host a couple of those episodes.
Allegedly, Clarkson was present on set for one of the above-mentioned dates, specifically to tape a future episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Multiple outlets (including Deadline and Page Six) reported that Clarkson would return to hosting on March 13. As of now, it’s not clear if Clarkson is pre-taping episodes for the future.
We wish Clarkson nothing but the best and hope her alleged family emergency is resolved quickly. Though, it is worth reiterating that Clarkson herself has not made a public statement about her absence, nor what has prompted her to miss episodes of her show.
