When it comes to performing in front of thousands of screaming fans, many artists love nothing more than taking the stage and sharing their love for music. But at the same time, a great deal of preparation goes into a single concert. Besides setting on the stage and capturing the perfect sound for the venue, crews work to make the concerts safe for both the performers and fans. Over the last few years, singers have dealt with fans throwing items at them and even jumping on stage. But recently, Nick Jonas quickly ran off stage after noticing a laser being pointed at him.

On Tuesday, Nick performed in Prague as part of the Five Albums, One Night show. Although fans knew some items were prohibited from being brought to the show, one person decided to sneak in a laser. During his set, Nick noticed the laser landing on him. Not knowing the origin of the laser, the singer rushed off stage with security close behind him. With the concert paused and Nick backstage, the video of the incident made its way online.
Offering some insight into the incident, a representative from the O2 Arena said, “We can confirm that the Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes due to the use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person.” Thankfully, organizers addressed the situation, allowing the concert to continue after a few moments.

Nick Jonas Not The Only Star Worried For Their Safety
While not offering a statement surrounding the incident, fans commented on the video, writing, “That’s scary! Safety should always come first. It’s unsettling that someone would do that during a concert. Glad Nick took precautions and hope security handled it quickly.” Another comment read, “Safety always comes first! It’s unfortunate when people forget that concerts should be a safe space for everyone. Glad Nick handled the situation quickly!”
Although just an eager fan with a laser, Nick’s worries come just a few months after Taylor Swift canceled a string of shows in Vienna when government authorities arrested individuals planning a terrorist attack at her show.
