There are no ands, ifs, or buts about it: Zach Top is the most popular rookie musician toiling in Nashville’s country music scene at the moment. The man has stolen the souls of the country music masses not only for being a phenomenal artist, but also for being the people’s savior of country music. He’s old school and new school wrapped in one, and consequently, people can’t get enough of them. Including the mother of Brothers Osborne.

Today, August 8, John Osborne, half of Brothers Osborne, took to Instagram to reveal a hilarious voicemail his mother sent him. Before John pressed play, he set the scene by stating, “Alright y’all, it’s official. We have been replaced as our mom’s favorite band by Zach Top.”
Subsequently, John pressed play, and his mother said in the voicemail, “Hey John, have you played with Zach Top yet? If you haven’t, I’d like to have one of his records. Alrighty, love you. Bye.” Needless to say, nobody is safe from Zach Top’s spell, as his music will seemingly even bust down the thickest shield: familial loyalty.
The Plot Thickens…
That simple voicemail is not the end of the story. Matter of fact, Brothers Osborne’s sister, Natalie, works in the A&R(Artists and Repertoire) department at Leo33, Top’s label. That being so, John added, “Mom, our sister, your daughter, your youngest child, works at Zach’s label. Not only works there, signed Zach to his record deal at the company that pays for and produces his records. I love Zach, he’s awesome. Call your daughter, I don’t know how to help you here, Mom, I’m sorry.”
Concerning the concluding sentence of John’s statement, Natalie was, in fact, the person who discovered and signed Zach Top to his record deal at Leo33 in 2023. A year later, Zach Top dropped his debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music.
Whether he knew it or not, Zach Top has quite a role in the Osborne family. Though, is that a surprise? After all, the man has got quite the role in the greater family of country music at this moment in time, and likely for the foreseeable future.
