“I have made it to 2025,” Osbourne announced. “I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive,” he added. “I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”

Osbourne has been fighting Parkinson’s disease for years. He has been through several cutting-edge treatments alongside a multitude of spinal surgeries. As a result, he has lost his ability to walk. However, the Prince of Darkness hasn’t lost his will to rock or his ability to sing.

Ozzy Osbourne Can Still Sing Despite Health Issues

Recently, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, and Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi spoke to NME about the upcoming farewell show. During the conversation, she shed light on the metal icon’s condition. “He’s really great. He’s got Parkinson’s, which we all know, but he’s great and it doesn’t affect his voice,” she revealed.

“This will do him good, to do this show,” Iommi said of his Black Sabbath bandmate. “It really will. That’s what it’s all about. He wants to get out and do something.

However, Back to the Beginning is more than a farewell show and it does more than offer Osbourne a chance to “get out and do something.” It is also his way to say “thank you” to the fans for giving him the life he’s lived. Additionally, the bands will be giving all profits from the show to charity. They’ll donate to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Additionally, Osbourne pointed out that her husband and his Black Sabbath bandmates could never truly say “goodbye” to the fans. “Look at what they leave—it’s a huge, great body of work that they’ve left for the world. As long as you’ve got that, it’s never goodbye. It’s there for eternity,” she said.
