“Now and Then” was released last November as the final Beatles song. The track used AI technology and archival recordings of George Harrison and John Lennon to complete the unfinished Beatles track. Now, McCartney has played the song live for the first time.
The new song came after “Here Today,” which Paul McCartney dedicated to John Lennon. For “Now and Then,” McCartney performed at a piano with the music video for the song playing on the screen behind him.

Paul McCartney put on a great show for fans during the first show of his tour. According to a report from NME, he played a rendition of “My Valentine” dedicated to his wife Nancy, “In Spite of All the Danger” by The Quarrymen, the band started by John Lennon which evolved into The Beatles, “Something” dedicated to George Harrison, and “I’ve Got a Feeling,” which was a virtual duet with Lennon.
McCartney played a massive 37-song set, delighting fans with renditions of classic Beatles songs like “A Hard Day’s Night” and “The End.”
Before the show, McCartney posted a montage of rehearsal clips on his YouTube channel and social media pages. The video showed him practicing with his long-time touring band and getting ready for the big show.
“We’re getting excited. We’re at rehearsals, we’re getting ready to come down and see you,” he says at the start of the video. The social media posts include a caption reading, “From the rehearsal room… to a city near you … Here’s a taste of what’s to come, as we ready to rock and roll on the 2024 GOT BACK tour!”
